Vadodara Cyber Crime Police Station has registered a case of fraud against a gang for cheating a student who was looking for a job in the automobile sector after completing his B.Tech in Automobiles. The accused cheated him of more than one lakh in the name of processing fees and other charges for the job.
As per details, Parth Parikh has completed his B.Tech in Automobile this year. During the month of June, he posted his biodata online on different websites to get a job. Meanwhile, a woman, who identified herself as Aarti Sharma from Sign.com, called him and said over the phone, “We have received your biodata and there are vacancies for you in Bajaj, Tata Motors, and Mahindra in Salesman, Production, and Manufacturing.”
Later she transferred the call to Nikhil Singh and they then asked for Rs 2,000 for registration, Rs.7,750 for file and Rs 16,750 for company interviews, and Rs 15,500 for GST. Thus, by showing different excuses, they took one lakh from him and committed fraud. Based on the complaint, the police have registered a case against five unidentified persons on the basis of their mobile numbers, including a woman, under various sections of IPC including fraud. Further investigating is on in the matter.
