Mook Dhwani Trust imparts education and training to the deaf and divyang children. The trust also organizes employment fairs every year to make them self-reliant with their qualifications and skills. In the fair organized on Sunday, 25 Candidates were selected by employing companies, and 28 candidates were selected for self-employment orientation training in order to make them self-stand in their careers.
Giving details of the Fair, Rashmi Mehta, Principal of G.D. Patel Deaf School said that on Sunday under the banner of “Lively Hood”, an employment fair for deaf and divyank students organized at the school premises through the joint efforts of Mook Dhwani Trust, Astitva Foundation, Discover Ability, Youth for Job in which more than 50 deaf persons registered.
Under this employment-oriented scheme, a total of 25 deaf persons has been selected for jobs, including 21 in Piramal Glass, 1 in Polyfoam Engineering, 1 in Inorbit Mall, 2 in Revival Hotel.
Besides this, 5 persons in Akash Dhup, 2 in Patel Pizza, 4 persons in Choco-Holicus, and 15 persons in Modi Care showed their readiness for various self-employment opportunities and training.
