Vadodara district Congress pay homage to the lost lives of farmers

In support of the ongoing farmer’s movement against the agricultural law, the State Congress had organized various programs to pay homage to the farmers who lost their lives in the movement. On Tuesday, tributes were paid to them at the District Congress Office. A controversy erupted, as during this tribute the State Deputy President Dr. Jitubhai Patel was fined by the police for not wearing the mask.

Today is the 27th day of the farmers’ agitation against the Agricultural Law. The agitating farmers, who had earlier fasted for one day, have now announced a 24-hour fast. Congress had organized a tribute program at every district headquarters in Gujarat today to pay respect to a total of 30 farmers who were martyred in the ongoing agitation against agricultural laws in Delhi.

A minute’s silence was observed in the presence of Pradesh Congress Vice President Dr. Jitubhai Patel, Vadodara District Congress President Sagar Brahmbhatt, Vadodara City Congress President Prashant Patel, office bearers and supporters. The 3 agricultural bills passed by the Central Government were also opposed by them. Dr. Jitubhai Patel said that corruption has spread through privatization in the insensitive BJP regime. In such time hasty decisions have been made to benefit the businessmen.

The Congress Vice President Dr. Jitubhai Patel had reached Vadodara to pay his respects. But he was stopped by the police near Dena Chokdi and due to this, there was a controversy over the imposition of a fine of Rs 1,000 for violating the Covid guideline. He criticized the BJP government, in this case, and thus expressed the suffering of the people.
