Vadodara LCB seized 1.53L beer and seized 12.86L IMFL, 2 arrested

Vadodara District Local Crime Branch chased a tempo carrying boxes of beer and arrested two accused with the liquor. Along with thist the Chhani Police raided a godown near Ranoli and seized a large quantity of foreign liquor worth Rs 12,86,400.

The team was informed about a tempo loaded with liquor was heading towards Dena village from Ranoli. The LCB team kept a watch at Dumad crossing and tried to intercept the tempo. But the driver tried to escape and the team chased the tempo in a filmy style and caught them on Dena road.

While checking, the team found beers worth Rs 1,53,600 kept in the boxes. Police arrested Mehta Ashok Krishnaram Bishnoi and Omprakash Hukmaram Bishnoi, originally from Rajasthan and currently at Bil, Kalali Road.

P.I. D.B. Vala further said that Ashok and Omprakash, who were caught with liquor revealed during the interrogation that they filled it from the godown behind Tapi Hotel near Ranoli and was to deliver it to Ravi and Vijay from Tarsali at Waghodia crossing.

The incident was reported to the Chhani Police after they received information that a quantity of foreign liquor had been filled from a godown near Ranoli. Based on the information, Police raided the godown and recovered Rs 12,86,000 IMFL along with a Bolero jeep. Ashok and Omprakash, who were caught with a quantity of beer, also informed that Dhawal Bishnoi and Jagdish Bishnoi, who live in Sanchore, Rajasthan, had asked them to take the goods in their tempo. A case have been registered at the taluka police station and Chhani police station for further investigation.
