‘All India Institute of Medical Science’ (AIIMS) is selected for Rajkot, which was recently announced by State minister Saurabh Patel.
Few years ago Center had announced AIIMS for Gujarat state, after which two locations were shortlisted by the State government – Vadodara and Rajkot. A special assigned team from the center had visited both the places for a thorough survey of the location and feasibility. Today it has been announced that Rajkot has been selected as the location for AIIMS. Rajkot being the center of saurashtra region will provide the perfect location for AIIMS and benefit the entire Saurashtra and Kutch regions.
