Vadodara: Peaceful protest rally to condemn the attack on Hindu temples in Bangladesh

Peaceful rally in Vadodara to show dissent towards the deadly attacks on Hindu temples and people in Bangladesh

On Wednesday, a peaceful protest took place regarding the deadly attack on Hindu temples of ISKCON and Durga Puja pandals in Bangladesh. Attended by members of the BJP, Congress, ISKCON temple, and other groups, the rally reached the Collector office to give a memorandum demanding strict punishment for the accused and safety of religious practice places.

Several religious sites have been attacked recently in Bangladesh, leading to the deaths of people during the Durga Puja celebrations. Since then, protests have been held against such inhuman acts and demanded strict action against the responsible.

Following the protest of dissent, Vadodara witnessed a  peaceful rally condemning the incident and demanding strict action responsible for attacking the Hindu temples and innocent lives.

On Wednesday, several leaders of BJP, Congress, ISKCON, and other religious communities also took part in the rally; banners flashing messages to put an end to violence against Hindus and protect Hindus in Bangladesh. They reached the collector office to give a memorandum to the collector demanding action against the attackers and ensuring community safety.

The march is in protest of the horrific crime in Bangladesh, where Hindus were attacked and temples were vandalized, says MP Ranjan Bhatt. He adds, such an act is intolerable, and we demand that the government safeguard Hindus’ safety.

The peace march, according to Nityanand Das of the ISKCON temple in Vadodara, is to denounce the incident in which Hindu temples were targeted. People were also killed, and we condemn such acts of violence against Hindus.

Both parties were present at the march in protest of the attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh, according to BJP president Dr. Vijay Shah. The collector received a memorandum urging that the government look into people’s safety.

Prashant Patel, the Congress President, described the incident as “sad” because India “always protects all religions” and expects the same from nations where Hindus are in the minority.” We want the Hindu religion protected by the government.”
