Haribhai Kahar has been arrested with 1.347 kg of ganja with an estimated worth of around Rs 9000. The Vadodara SOG arrested the accused from Manjalpur area of the city.
The SOG team received a tip about Kahar selling ganja at a wholesale rate to customers from his residence near Parsi Bhista compound in Manjalpur. Based on this information the team of Manjalpur police and SOG reached his residence and arrested the accused. According to information, he has been involved with the wholesale selling of the product for over the last decade.
During the primary investigation, the team found that he got his consignment from Vadu village in Padra. Haribhai Kahar was earlier arrested first in 2005, and then in 2012 for a similar offense, and was released after being found innocent.
The accused was booked under NDPS act 8(c), 20 (b), 29 in Manjalpur police station. Further investigation is going on the see who was delivering ganja to the accused.
