To curb the spread of COVID, the government has imposed restrictions on public events. However, more often than not, instances of people violating these rules have surfaced.
One such event came to light in Vadodara wherein people were seen dancing at a DJ party that was organized at Navayard during the night curfew. After the video went viral, the police arrested five youngsters for violation of the guidelines. In a light-hearted tweet, Vadodara’s police commissioner said, “Ab Inki Party Lockup Mein …”.
As per available details, a DJ party was organized for a marriage function at the Fulwadi Mohalla near Navayard. Despite the night curfew being place after 9 PM, the organizers held a party after 9, and hence, violated COVID guidelines. According to the police, the groom’s family members and friends danced to music and did not have their masks on.
A video of the DJ party immediately went viral on social media after which, the police sprung to action and caught hold of the violators. The police said that further investigation into the matter was underway.
