Diwali is that time of the year when we celebrate with our friends and families or go out on vacations.
However, over the years this has become a festive season for thieves and burglars as well as they take advantage of empty homes or crowded areas to commit crimes.
To curb the crime this festive season, the Vadodara Police has devised elaborate plans to ensure the safety of the citizens and make sure no thefts or burglaries take place during Diwali.
In a meeting with various jewelers and angadiya firms of the city, Vadodara Police on Wednesday advised them to be cautious during peak hours and restore the CCTV footage so that offender can be caught immediately. More so, the police will also provide a bandobast for free to angadiya firms if they are transferring cash.
Cops will be patrolling the nooks and corners of the city during the festive season, nonetheless, cooperation from citizens will make the security plan successful. For that, the police have given the following guidelines-
Special teams will be deployed at Ghadiyal Pol, Kansara Pol, Sardar Bhavan, Alkapuri, Jetalpur Road, M.G. Road, Gorwa, Gotri, Manjalpur, Sama for adequate patrolling. More so, heavy patrolling will be carried at the railway station, bus station, religious places, and malls.
