Vadodara Police to be on-duty in uniforms during festivals

The Diwali festivities are now approaching and the market is also crowded with shoppers, which is also causing anti-social elements to become active. A new experiment has been launched by the City Police to beware of people who misuse the names of Crime Branch, CID, and CBI to defraud people by taking advantage of the crowd. As part of this, all Police Personnel and Officers of important branches of police like the Crime Branch, PCB, and SOG will be on duty in uniform at all places during Diwali festivities. People have been told to call the City Police Control Room immediately if anyone tries to cheat in the name of the Police.

Apart from the crowd at market places, financial transactions are also done at places including banks, Angadiya firms, and Gold Finance offices. Intensive patrolling has also started at such places by the city police. Attempts at swindling, chain snatching, and fraud are being made by some anti-social elements.

To maintain a constant police presence in the market, all Police Personnel on duty in the branches of the police, Crime Branch, SOG and PCB, and PSIs have been directed to be on duty in uniform during the Diwali festivities. If anyone tries to become fake police in the name of Crime Branch, CID, and CBI, the people are requested to ask them for an iCard and report the matter to the police station or police control room.

The Crime Branch, SOG, and PCB will also be on watch around the offices of the business firm, Angadiya firm, and Gold Finance wherever financial transactions take place. Apart from this, police officers and staff of D staff of each police station in the market have also been ordered to perform their duties in compulsory uniforms during the Diwali festivities.
