Some of the Vadodara Mahanagar Seva Sadan’s circles around the city roadways got reduced in size. However, many similar circles continue to be found responsible for accidents. On Monday, an ST bus was on the verge of colliding at a traffic circle near Fatehgunj, but the major accident got averted.
As per available details, the State Transport Corporation bus was going from Mehsana to Surat when the driver lost control of the steering wheel, and the bus scraped past the circle at Fatehgunj circle. The incident disrupted traffic on the road for some time.
Police and locals rushed to the spot after the bus crashed sideways into the circle and evacuated the passengers safely. Not a single passenger traveling got injured in the incident but panic spread among them.
Vadodara Mahanagar Seva Sadan created haphazard circles on city roadways, which eventually split down into smaller circles. Such circles still exist, causing traffic congestion and accidents, as they did on Monday. The event had sparked an inquiry by the local police department.
