On Tuesday, the Vadodara Youth Congress sent a memorandum to the city’s Police Commissioner. They requested prohibition of drug abuse activities in the city get stopped and that young people be saved. If the events in the city continue, they threaten to conduct Janta raids.
“Vadodara is a cultural and educational center that draws students from all around the country to study. Youths are increasingly addicted to drugs and alcohol, damaging their future. We demand that the police take swift action to put a stop to such acts. We also want parents to notify us if they see any such activity taking place in their neighborhoods, as we would conduct a Janta raid.” President of Vadodara City Youth Congress, Kuldeep Sinh Vaghela, remarked.
The members of the Young Congress went to the Police Bhavan and handed over a memorandum to the Police Commissioner, requesting that prohibition and other acts that harm youth get stopped. They threaten to carry out a Janta raid if the police do not cease their actions. They also want residents to report any such actions that are taking place in their neighborhoods.
It is worth noting, that Vadodara police under its Mission Clean Vadodara is already taking action against such pursuits, and arresting many accused involved in it. They also organize awareness programs at schools, colleges, and other institutions to help youngsters know the bad effect of addiction and stay away from it.
