Vadodara youth found drowned in Mahi river

The body of a youth living in the Manjalpur area of the city and working in a courier company was found in the Mahi river. On 4th January the youth went mysteriously missing and police were investigating.

Sandeep Haribhai Joshi was working in a courier company at Sayajiganj. After leaving his job-place he went missing. Until the late night when he did not return home, the family finally started searching for him. The family lodged a police complaint at the Manjalpur police station after they were unable to find him. The police started an investigation to search for him.

Meanwhile, on Thursday afternoon, the locals informed the Vasad Police about the body of a man found floating in the Mahi River passing under the Mahisagar Bridge on the Vadodara-Ahmedabad Express Highway. Vasad Police immediately rushed to the spot and took possession of the body. After that, the body was sent for postmortem to Vasad Government Hospital.

On the other hand, the Vasad police investigation found that the body found in the Mahi river is of the youth named Sandeep Joshi from the Manjalpur area of Vadodara.

Vasad Police contacted the family members of the deceased and called for identification. After conducting an autopsy, the body was given to the family. This morning he was cremated at Khaswadi cremation. Police are investigating his death due to drowning or some other way. Currently, Vasad Police have registered a case of Sandeep Joshi drowning in the Mahi river.
