Violation of social distancing in a govt office

People were standing in long queues since early morning at the office of Ward No. 8 in the Nagarwada area of Vadodara, to get the forms for the self-help scheme. Violation of social distancing was witnessed at the office.

Lack of proper arrangement by the administration is believed to be leading towards violating the rules of coronavirus.

One of the beneficiaries, Rameshbhai said that he drove a rickshaw and had a larri to support his family. The lockdown had affected his income and he appreciated that the government has announced a loan of Rs.10,000 for self-reliance for people like them. He had to stand on the line from 6 a.m to get the form and his number came at 1 pm. No social distancing was maintained and he feared getting infected but had to stay in the queue because of his economic condition.

While the administration is claiming to be taking all kinds of precautions, the government is making all efforts to avoid the further spread of the virus, on the other hand, a situation of violation in government offices like this raises the question of seriousness regarding the situation.

When Ward Officer Magan Vanzara was called in this regard, he did not receive the phone call.

Two days ago too, people had come to the Administrative Office of Ward No. 8 to take a loan. The situation was the same then also.
