With the increase in hospitalization number today O.S.D Dr. Vinod Rao announced Sanjeevni Abhiyan, a procedural setup for Home Based COVID care.
Dr. Rao said, “From tomorrow we are launching an intensified campaign to support all COVID patients in Home Isolation for which 102 teams (2 members each) will be made operational, 3 Teams per PHC. Each team will visit 20 home isolated patients per day. Each team will carry Pulse Oxymeter, BP Instrument, Thermal Gun, etc along with them and monitor the vitals like temperature, SpO2, blood pressure and history of the patients”
He added that, “Patients will be prioritized as per risk category (elderly and co-morbid) and will be visited first.” Visits will be done every day or alternate day so that they can be monitored and mobilised to hospital, at the first instance of need for hospitalization. All the patients will be provided with necessary medication at home and also followed up telephonically twice In a day. Visits and Follow-ups will be recorded and will be supervised by the Medical Officer of the UPHC and TELEMEDICINE service will be integrated wherever needed. Number of Teams will be increased in the next few days as the situation develops
