VMC tighten ups security for Covid 19 rules violation

On Saturday, VMC teams swung into actions to check if the Covid 19 guidelines is being followed by the shopkeepers and others in various parts of the city.

Some of the shops were sealed by the team which were not following the guidelines and a strict message was sent to everyone. The different areas of the city which are known for crowding were checked by the team along with police. During the check they sealed a fruit shop and godown behind Khanderao market.

To stop the transition of the virus, the administration gives a clear message for everyone to follow the Covid guidelines.

To plan the future strategy, yesterday OSD Dr. Vinod Rao had a joint meeting with Collector, Municipal Commissioner and Police Commissioner. As per the decision all the offices will work in collaboration to fight the virus. Joint Enforcement Team (JET) two each in all 12 wards of VMC and four flying squads in four zones is formed by the administration.


Both JET and Flying Squad will ensure about observing Covid 19 rules at all places in the city, maintain social distancing and people wearing masks in public places. People who will be found guilty of violation for the rules, will be fined by them.
10 to 15 hotspots will be identified in every ward and the JET will work in these spots continuously.

For big malls, multiplexes, party plots, banquet halls, marriage halls and atithigruhs the flying squad will be working in their zones. As a part of strict action, the team can seal the premises if needed.
The teams will be in place for 15 days or more as per needed and will be continuously under monitor by zonal Deputy Municipal Commissioner and Director ER and SA.
