As part of the celebrations to mark the completion of five years of the state government, a computer-raised drawing of 382 housing was held in the hands of Minister of State Yogesh Patel in the city’s Sayajinagar House on August 7, 2021, by Vadodara Mahanagar Seva Sadan (VMSS). The City Engineer has lodged a complaint at the Navapura Police station against the Corporation’s Executive Engineer (Affordable Housing) and MIC Expert for cheating and betraying the corporation and the beneficiaries by changing the list of 382 beneficiaries of the drawing and putting another list on the corporation’s website. Police have registered a case based on the complaint.
Shailesh Mistry, the city engineer of the corporation, lodged a complaint at the Navapura police station, saying that various programs were organized on the completion of five years of the state government. Under which a program was held by the corporation on 7th August-2021 in Sayajinagar Grih. The event was attended by dignitaries virtually including the Union Home Minister. In this state-level program, Vadodara Mahanagar Seva Sadan organized a program of Muhurat and Lokarpan for various housing schemes worth Rs. 119.45 crore. Under this, Computerised Drawing was held in the hands of Minister of State Yogesh Patel out of 382 houses constructed by the Corporation in various areas.
The City Engineer further stated in the complaint that the responsibility for the drawing was entrusted to Nishith Pithwa MIC Expert of (PMAY CLTC), and his aid was Clerk Ashwin Rajput. The list of beneficiaries was to be posted on the corporation’s website after the drawing. MIC Expert Nishith Pithwa coordinated with the I.T. branch and uploaded the list of 382 housing houses on the website. Meanwhile, in response to an inquiry by the officials of the corporation, they said that they had prepared a new list and put it on the website at the suggestion of Executive Engineer Pramod Vasava (Affordable Housing).
Beneficiaries complained to the corporation that the list of housing uploaded on the website did not include the names and serial numbers of the beneficiaries. This was investigated by the corporation on the basis of the complaint, in which shocking details came out that MIC Expert Nishith Pithwa and Executive Engineer Pramod Vasava had uploaded other lists instead of uploading the drawn list.
City engineer Shailesh Mistry has lodged a complaint at the Navapura police station against MIC expert Nishith Pithwa and executive engineer (Affordable Housing) Pramod Vasava for cheating and betraying the corporation and housing beneficiaries. Navapura police have registered a case of fraud and cheating against the two on the basis of the complaint. The case is being investigated by the police.
