Your Mava won’t be entertained by VMSS anymore!

In its determination to keep the city clean, VMSS has started charging penalties to those who were found spitting from a moving vehicle and urinating in a public place.

Fines and challans were issued to people monitored via surveillance cameras installed in public places. Offenders were charged fines via the electronic medium as well. Penalties ranging from Rs. 50 to Rs. 1000 is being imposed for the same.

This comes only 3 days after a joint meeting was held between VMSS and the Police Commissioner of Vadodara to form a special sanitary team to monitor and fine those who are found littering, spitting and urinating in public places.

Under the Swachh Bharat Mission, public toilets and dustbins have been built, installed and are accessible to people at various locations in the city. The officials urge the citizens to make use of the same and keep the city clean.

Similar initiatives are being driven into action in various cities across India, which are gradually garnering public support.
