World Motorcycle Day 2023

World Motorcycle Day is celebrated every year on June 21. This day is dedicated to motorcycle enthusiasts or anyone involved in the industry. To honor and recognize the passion, freedom and community spirit associated with motorcycles, World Motorcycle Day is observed. It is a day dedicated to celebrating the joy of riding and the significance of motorcycles around the world.

World Motorcycle Day is observed every year on June 21, to bring together motorcycle enthusiasts, riders, and organizations to showcase the positive aspects of motorcycling and also to raise awareness about motorcycle safety, responsible riding. This day highlights motorcycles being used in various aspects of life such as transportation, sport, adventure, and even as a form of self-expression. It helps to celebrate the comradeship and unity among riders, promoting a global community which is bonded by their love for motorcycles. This day encourage us to appreciate the design, engineering, and technological advancements in the world of motorcycles, also, sharing of experiences, stories, knowledge and ideas about motorcycles.

In 1860, Pierre Michaux of Paris created the first steam-powered motorcycle, marking a significant milestone in the history of motorcycles. After two decades later, 1885 Daimler Reitwagen or Einspur, the world’s first internal combustion petroleum-fueled motorcycle made by Gottlieb Daimler and Wilhelm Maybach of Germany introduced. These developments laid the foundation for the evolution and advancements in motorcycle technology that continue to shape the industry to this day. In 1894, Hildebrand & Wolfmüller became the first series production motorcycle.

 

Motorcycles are always viewed as the “Men’s vehicle,” even though we’re living in 21st century, a woman riding a motorcycle is judged on many levels. “Why should boys have all the fun?” Biking is loved by women as much as men and these Indian women bikers are breaking stereotypes like pro.
