WR to add a train between Gandhidham- Tirunelveli

For the convenience of passengers and clear the rush during the festive season, Western Railway has planned to run one more special train between Gandhidham and Tirunelveli for the forthcoming Dussehra & Diwali festivals.

According to a press release issued by WR CPRO Sumit Thakur, Gandhidham – Tirunelveli Weekly Special train will run from 26th October to 3rd December 2020.

Details of the trains are:-

Train No 09424/09423 Gandhidham – Tirunelveli Weekly Festival Special (12 trips)

Train No 09424 Gandhidham – Tirunelveli special will depart from Gandhidham every Monday at 14.00 hrs & will reach Tirunelveli at 11.30 hrs on Wednesday. This train will run from 26th Oct to 30th Nov 2020. Similarly, Train No 09423 Tirunelveli – Gandhidham special will leave Tirunelveli every Thursday at 07.45 hrs & will reach Gandhidham at 06.40 hrs on Saturday for JCO 29th Oct 2020 from Tirunelveli. For subsequent trips i.e non-monsoon period, this train will reach Gandhidham at 04.30 hrs. This train will run from 29th Oct to 3rd December. 2020.

Enroute this train will halt at Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Vasai Rd, Panvel, Roha, Ratnagiri, Madgaon, Karwar, Thokur, Mangaluru Jn, Kozhikkode, Shoranur, Thrisur, Ernakulam, Kayamkulam, Thiruvananthapuram Central, and Nagarcoil Town stations in both directions. This train comprises of AC 2 Tier, AC 3 Tier, Sleeper Class, and Second class seating coaches.

The booking of Train No 09424 will open from 23rd October 2020 at nominated PRS counters and on the IRCTC website. The above trains will run as fully reserved trains.
