Wuhan Lockdown lifted officially after 11 weeks

Wuhan in China ended its 11 week lockdown on Wednesday after only three new positive coronavirus cases were reported and no new deaths for the first time since January .

Wuhan was the city where the first case of CoronaVirus was detected on Nov. 17, 2019, according to the South Morning China Post. In China more than 80,000 cases are reported out of which two-third are from Wuhan.

Speculation says that the Chinese government has underreported the cases and deaths over the previous a number of months, especially for Wuhan, to boost up President Xi Jinping’s image. With a fear of a possible second wave of Corona Virus.

Life is gradually coming back to normalcy after the lifting of lockdown which allows in and out traveling from the city. People are still asked to remain home and leave only if necessary, school will remain closed till further orders. People have ventured out to take sunshine, fresh air and live a life again after vigilant lockdown, even though companies are being cautious and calling only essential workforce at the company.
