Parul University imparts utmost importance to explore the sense of oneness through Yoga. To disseminate the utility of yoga to the society, numerous activities are being carried out in Parul University by the Faculty of Ayurveda. This reveals the magnitude of the ancient tradition of Yoga during such unprecedented situations. At this juncture of International Yoga Day, Parul Institute of Ayurveda has been training the COVID patients in some basic yogasana’s & breathing exercises which are regularly practised in the COVID ward under strict monitoring. Around 60 patients have been performing these yogasana’s and receiving great results out of it. PU’s Yoga instructor has also giving training to International students regarding the yogasanas. Resultantly, around 100+ students have been gaining positive outcomes by practicing it every day while simultaneously understanding its scientific applicability in day to day life. The university’s education system overcame this pandemic by adopting appropriate technology as a result of which, Faculty of Ayurveda conducted online yoga sessions for a couple of months for 5000 beneficiaries. Faculty of Ayurved also conducted a one day yoga session which witnessed participation from 2000 faculties and students. To promote honourable Prime Minister’s “My Life- My Yoga video blogging contest”– Faculty of Ayurveda organised a Yogasana video competition in which around 200 people participated and uploaded their Yogasana videos on their personal social media handles.
