Yogesh Patel hoisted the National Flag and launched the Drug Free India Campaign in Vadodara

Today, on the occasion of 74th Independence Day of India, Minister of State for Narmada Development, Yogesh Patel hoisted the Indian National Flag at the Railway Police Parade Ground.

He paid homage to the martyrs of the War of Independence and congratulated the citizens of the city and district and also lauded the work of the Corona Warriors in all areas. He honored the invited Corona Warriors from the Health Department.

He also started the campaign for addiction-free youth and society, in Vadodara from today. He also congratulated the team of Vadodara for keeping the Vadodara district at the forefront of development.

He also said that the growing participation of Gujarat’s youth in the country’s armies is a matter of joy. He mentioned about the country’s performance against the Coronavirus battle, which has been lauded in the world. Gujarat has worked vigilantly towards saving the lives of the people and has addressed the economic challenges posed by the Corona. The recovery rate has increased to 77%. The Rs. 50 lakh crore self-reliance package announced by the Government of India, Gujarat has implemented two self-reliance package.

The state government had also run 1000 trains to send workers home and had given a new direction to the welfare of the farmers by implementing the scheme of providing the free benefit of crop insurance protection umbrella to the farmers.

To keep the people of Vadodara City and district safe against Corona, necessary facilities including 5,000 beds and ventilators have been provided in phases at the local level. Rs. 15 crores were received from the relief fund of the CM and Rs. 5 crores has been received by the health department. 6 Sanjeev Chariots were made available in Vadodara.

He lauded the properly made arrangements by the district administration for proper drainage of rainwater from the roof of houses and primary schools under the Rain Water Project. He also congratulated District Collector Shalini Agarwal and Vadodara team for this achievement. Under the sensible planning of the Chief Minister, the Supply Department has distributed free food grains to the population under 7.19 lakh ration cards. Food kits were provided to 1.35 lakh children who benefitted from mid-day meal. Under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, cooking gas connection has been provided to 19782 eligible families in the Vadodara district.

He also provided details of the multi-faceted development plans of the Government of India and the State Government including the welfare of the farmer, urban development, infrastructure development.

He also planted saplings along with others present in there.

On this occasion, MP Ranjan Bhatt, MLAs Jitubhai Sukhadia, Manisha Vakil, Seema Mohile and office bearers, District Collector Shalini Agarwal, Range IG HG Patel, Commissioner of Police R.B. Brahmbhatt, District Development Officer Kiran Zaveri and other top officials, employees, people, and corona warriors were present at the celebrations.
