Youth Congress demands employment by staging protest in front of MP Ranjan Bhatt’s house

On National Youth Day, the Vadodara City Youth Congress reached the MP’s house and tried to cordon it, demanding employment for the youth. However, the police foiled the program and detained 15 protestors.

A program was organized by the City Youth Congress to cordon the Vadodara MP Ranjan Bhatt’s house. Following this tight police security was set up near the house in Nizampura. A large number of protestors, led by Youth Congress president Asfaq Malek, marched towards the MP’s house. They raised slogans to give employment to the unemployed. Society members also walked out of the house. However, before they could start, the police detained around 15 protestors from the spot.

Vadodara City Youth Congress President Asfaq Malek said that today is National Youth Day. But, the unemployed youth are not being heard by the government. The number is increasing day by day and the government is only making empty promises to provide employment. The BJP government, which came to power by promising to provide 2 crore jobs a year, has failed miserably in fulfilling its promises.

He further said that today, the City Youth Congress had come to Vadodara MP Ranjan Bhatt seeking the demands of the unemployed youth and made representations for the unemployed youth. However, their right to representation was also taken away by the police. The activists were detained but the Youth Congress will be with the youth and continue to fight for their demands.
